Asked by nishanmillie.
I have been told by my mother-in-law and a few friends that it's really hard to have two babies very close together and I should wait until Millie is a least 2 and a half/at nursery school before trying again... has anyone else found this?

is she ready to potty train yet?

Asked by prozacfairy.
hi well with the warm weather and summer looking set to be pretty good thought weather would be perfect time to potty train ms pink. shes 20 months old and and very bright or laeast her speech is great and also she keeps trying to take her nappies off. was wondering if there are any definate signs that your chils is ready? i dont want to leave it too late- my sisters little boy is 3 this saturday and at nursery and still not near being potty trained and shes worried- i dont want to get to the same point with lil! also any tips? my mum and aunt said to leave to run round in long t shirts for 1st week or whatever and follow her round with a potty which i am keen to do as i think pull ups sound a total waste of time (arent they just glorified nappies?) and then put knickers on her after that and ofcourse have the potty with us at all times. OH is worried bout the carpets (yeah i know i already told him he is turning into his parents lol) what did other people do? please im open minded so any tips hit me with em x x x x

Asked by harley16.
ok my son harley bear has always been hard work since he had reflux at 8wks old, hes coming up to 3yrs old in october. hes a massive tantrum thrower, does the most loudests of high pitched screams youv ever heard! this past few weeks hes taken a turn in his behaviour, his tantrums r gettin rather violent, hes trashin his toys as in pickin them up n throwing them violently, anything he can grab he'll throw, becuz iv twins of 1yrs old i ave 2 remove him 2 his room where he continues 2 go crazy, slammin his wardrobe doors, draws, kickin n hittin his bed, throwing all his toys! he also hits his twin sisters alot wen they take his toys so i really ave 2 keep an eye on him. hes very possessive over his toys, n im constantly tellin him 2 share or if he takes his toys off the girls i get him 2 them a diff toy 2 play wiv n praise him for his good sharing! i tell him not 2 hit his sisters n if he makes them cry n say sorry which he does n gives them a kiss, but hes conctantly hittin them n rollin on them when he gets giddey. he understands naughty step & it does work, but when hes avein super massive tantrum theres no gettin thru 2 him so i ave 2 put him in his room for every1 including himself safety. hes very very demanding, he says mummy chocolate, 1st thing in morn afta breakfast, n will go on n on about it, as soon as i say we havent got any (even if we ave!) he goes nuts! i try n say wot about avein a yummy apple but he jus has a fit n screams! also if i dont put cbeebies on 1st thing in morn he goes nuts again until i put it on, i dont want him watchin it loads! i usually turn tv off in aftanoons as i dont want my kids watchin it all day long. his new thing this wk is if i dont put the dvd CARS on he'll ave tantrums again! he also does this thing where he puts his toy cars on the table in kitchen n runs back n forth past them, i tell him 2 walk n once again he screams! he runs from the kitchen n down the hallway all the time, but if i tell him 2 walk or slow down he screams :( we go toddler group 2-3 times a week n at messy play one of the assistance there said he stands out the most to her cuz hes always running arnd on his own from 1 area 2 the nxt, but he does play along side other kids & does interact & does imaginary play. iv had him tested for autisum but hes def not got it, his speech is coming along nicely, can say lots of words n afew sentances. oh & another thing he seems to of got really clingy with me, iv been doin a chatter matter course over past couple of weeks to learn ways to help harley, so my kids go in the play room nxt door to where i am with the staff there & when i walked away he went nuts but did calm down! the previous wk he didnt care lol we went down town wiv my friend weds, my friend pushed harley in pushchair n every shop we went in he screamed if he cldnt see me! n was yellin at top of his voice MUMMY NOOOOO. (oh so very sorry for long winded message! i really need 2 get everything down on ere as i really need sum help!) hes been no pleasure 2 be around at moment, hes puttin massive strain on me, hes had me in tears this wk n my depression seems 2 b very low! i had 2 ring my mum other day n say take him before i lose it! iv neva done this b4! i feel like i dont want 2 b near him at moment! i neva get a break, or any help. jamie (daddy) has jus taken him 2 morrisons shoppin (way braver than me!) n harley is always good for my mum! i do drawing n painting with him thru the day aswell as read 2 him! its jus all these tantrums n behaviour im findin very hard. the twins r totally fine, so good n im worried they will pick up on his bad behaviour! i know he gets bored cuz its impossible 2get out the house lots wiv all 3 kids but like i say i do take him toddler group each week, iv got him book on afew things in august, we're goin on a gardening thing where he gets 2 plant things next wk, following week its creepy crawly road show, n week afta that teddy bears picnic! once again sorry for long post any advice wld be great xxx
