Ovulating or not??

Asked by mummy2finley.
Hey, Can anyone tell me, if when a woman isnt ovulating, does she still get her periods??? God I sound so dumb!? But my cycles are very irregular, one month it can be as long as 38 days then other months it can be the 'average' 28 days, so I'v started using ovulation tests, have been testing now for the last 6days (started 11days after my 1st period) still with no LH surge present?? But I know I will have a period at the end of the month. So do I ovulate?? Why arnt the tests picking this up?? I feel so stupid or like I'm doing something wrong!! Please help!! aaarrrggghhhhhhhh! x

Kerry Katona and smoking during pregnancy

Asked by charlotteb.
Some of you may have noticed the news story about Kerry Katona not being able to give up smoking during her current pregnancy. I was wondering what you all thought of this? Do you think it's bad? Or do we get bogged down with what you can and can't do during pregnancy? Did any of you smoke during pregnancy and what was the reaction? Would love to know your thoughts? Nifa - gurgle editor

Article : Age gaps between babies

Asked by nishanmillie.
I have been told by my mother-in-law and a few friends that it's really hard to have two babies very close together and I should wait until Millie is a least 2 and a half/at nursery school before trying again... has anyone else found this?

how young is to young??

Asked by charmed1234.
hi i just wanted some oppinions on how young is to young to have a baby. the problem im facing at the moment is that i love babies and children and know that i would make a fantastic mother and currently trying to fight my motherly instincts as im 18. im finding it increasingly difficult to fight back the feeling that i should be pregnant and having a baby the same as other people around me and am becoming increasingly emotional about the situation. i no im only 18 but having been having periods for 10 years this year and if i had been 15 at the time 25 years old would make more sense so i cant help but think that this has something to do with it. if anyone would like to offer me some advice as how to handle the situation i would reli appreciate it

Caesarean Section

Asked by katiehannam.
Plenty of women go on to have natural births after a c-section and plenty have repeat caesareans. It all depends on you, your Obstetrician who will probably see you a few times during your antenatal checks and your midwife. Once you fell pregnant and see your midwife for the booking-in visit, mention your desire to have another c-section. Each maternity unit will have different policies and you will be advised on what yours is. Most maternity units will try to accommodate mum's wishes especially if they are based on a bad experience with a previous birth.
